The common perception of a chess game is two people matching their intellect with a calm game as they try to gain an advantage to win. To increase enthusiasm about the U.S. Women's Chess Championship I wanted to create a video that changes the idea about women playing chess as an intense battle for victory. This promotional video targets an audience ranging from high school students to women in their late thirties who could become interested in chess if they see that it can be strategic and exciting as the top players try to gain power.
