DEWDROP

Dewdrop connects a new extreme sports store to a name that suggests nature and fresh feelings.

Dewdrop

The world of extreme sports includes a lot of activities that involve a drop, such as skydiving, skiing, paragrliding, bungee jumping, and more. Also, the word dew is a homophone with the verb do, so by connecting the words to dewdrop it shows an image of nature with a sound that is similar to action and adventure. This will give the customers a sense of freedom and bravery when they talk about the brand and visit the store to find products and gear to use on their activities of choice.

BRAND IDEAS

Target audience: People who enjoy climbing, diving, jumping, flying extreme sports The brand concept is based on the story of R.E.I ., when people who enjoyed outdoors shared their resources to make the company. My idea is to get together people who like extreme sports and they can share their investments to make one brand together. I also found an example of a online store for extreme sports called Xtreme Inn. It shows that extreme sports people could use a bigger brand like R.E.I. but to go there and shop for extreme sports gear and ge t advice.

LOGO

I was inspired by the concept of falling, hence the name "Dewdrop" for the brand. Additionally, the carabiner plays a crucial safety role in extreme sports. I created a brand logo resembling the shape of a carabiner, forming the alphabet "D."

PROTOTYPES

For brand marketing purposes, I utilized the Dewdrop logo's D shape for the package design. This design allows for adjusting the width and height of the D-shaped package according to each product. The items to be included in the package box are helmets, sunglasses, gloves, and knee pads. Regarding the outer design of the package, the bottom surface of the package features the product name, detailed description, and barcode. On the left side of the package, there is an image of the product and the logo engraved, while on the opposite side, there is 3D typography and a figure engaged in extreme sports. For instance, the "Go Climbing" made with 3D typography resembles rugged rocks with a graphical design depicting a person climbing on them. For added fun, I connected the carabiner and logo sticker together.
